My oldest sister has not had the easiest journey. For a long while, we didn’t live near each other, and I was caught up in my own family and life.
But my sister’s best friend, Amy, has always been there for her, through so many struggles, disappointments, changes and awakenings. She has been a loving and steady friend offering a shoulder to cry on, sound advice and much needed, escapes – sometimes just a call, or a few hours sitting at the beach, a dinner or a trip away.
Thank you, Amy, for showing me what true friendship means and how it enriches a whole family. I think of you now as my third big sister.
