If you are reading this then I know you were able to keep the bracelets. You gave us excellent service everyday. But what I appreciated the most, and I want to thank you for Job, is taking the time to talk with us and share some of your life stories. It’s difficult for me to imagine what it would be like to try and cross the border the way you did and not making it. I was shocked to hear how much it money cost! It shows how much you are willing to sacrifice to come to the United States. I am frustrated that it has to be so difficult for someone like you who speaks such good English, has good vocational skills and wants to make a better life for yourself and family. Everyday I looked forward to talking to you and wish we had more time to talk. I really hope you will be safe and one day you make it back to the United States. You have my email to let me know. It’s hard to explain how much sharing some of your experiences helped me understand and look at all the people crossing our border illegally a little differently. That’s why I know we need to improve our immigration process.
I hope this is the bracelet you keep with. This is the one I’m writing how we made our connection and how great it was to meet you. Please pass on the other bracelets to people who are important to you and start their story that begins with and me.
