Chris it was so good to see one my “super😄” students16 years later! After thousands of students I remember faces not always the names. But there was no way I could forget you or how wonderful you were with the preschoolers! You truly had a gift with the little ones, a rare quality with guys in HS. We talked and shared Magruder memories, your career, your new home and it was so special to be invited over to meet your fiancee. She was lovely and I wish the two of you much happines and continued success with your careers. As we continued to talk and you shared the difficult times you had during covid and all the folks you had to let go I was impressed with how much you really care about others. You were so easy to talk with and very articulate,I bet your employees really like working for you! While we were talking I was moved that I was one of the teachers you remembered and you spoke so fondly of the class and being my aide😃. It was just at the moment I knew I wanted to give you my Kufara bracelet. If you have checked out the website you know that it means happiness and that was how I was feeling as we talked. Our conversation reminded me of how much I enjoyed teaching and having great students like you. It was your act of kindness, actually taking the time to say more than just “HI”, that folks need to remember to connect with each other. We discovered several coincidences, we were going to Coastal (wish you were at the Crown) and you were there with Katie (another great CD student) and her family and her mom. It was really good to see you Chris and each share a bit of the past. I hope our story will continue and you are able to pass this on to someone who makes you happy or moves you in some way as I was by seeing you Friday night.
