Bracelet #123020011341
It was December 10, 2021 in Detroit, MI. I had been holding onto my Kufara bracelets for about five months, saving them for a random act of kindness or to meet a new person whose energy I just enjoyed. But being COVID times, I didn’t get out much so it was taking longer than expected to find myself in such a situation. This night, I was attending Grizmas at the Masonic Temple (if you know, you know). I was wearing two Kufara bracelets, hoping to have a memorable encounter that I deemed worthy of gifting my first Kufara bracelet (or two!). I found myself meeting a couple of people that night that I had decided I would gift my bracelets to (it’s amazing the wonderful people you can meet while in line for the bathroom at a concert!). But before I knew it, a friend I was attending the concert with grabbed my hand and was pulling me through the crowds of people at the concert, attempting to get us down on the floor and into the craziness closer to the stage. About halfway to our planned destination, the bracelets that I was wearing loosely slid right off my drunk, sweaty wrist. By the time I could react and stop my friend from pulling me further into the crowd, it was too late. Sadly, my Kufara bracelets had disappeared onto the dark floor under seats and dancing concert goers. My hope now is that someone at the concert was lucky enough to find my bracelets on the floor, thoughtful enough to google the brand, and persistent enough to continue to check back to the website to see if anyone posted about their origin story (turns out I don’t do anything in a timely fashion these days). If you are that person, thank you for giving my bracelets a good home and please pass them on to another who is deserving. Kindness….pass it on!
